What are Mouth Cancer Screening?
Dentists are the first line of defence when it comes to the early detection and diagnosis of mouth cancer. We screen for oral cancer as a part of your regular dental check-up, so it is very important to ensure you have a check up every six months. Your examination will include an inspection of your mouth, throat, neck and jaw. We will check for lumps, swelling, or any other abnormalities. If any mouth cancer is suspected, you will be referred to a specialist for a biopsy.
