NHS Treatment – Appointments & Attendance
To ensure treatment progresses smoothly, we ask all NHS patients to:
- Attend appointments regularly and on time
- Maintain excellent brushing and oral hygiene
- Follow brace-care instructions
- Wear elastics and retainers exactly as advised
- Let us know as early as possible if they need to reschedule
Note: repeated missed or cancelled appointments, or failure to maintain oral hygiene, may lead to treatment being discontinued in line with NHS guidelines.
How do I get my child assessed for NHS Orthodontic treatment?
- Your child’s regular dentist is the first point of contact and must provide the referral to us at IQ Braces & Faces in Woking for an NHS orthodontic assessment, through the DERS pathway.
- After your family dentist makes the referral to us, we will be in contact with you to arrange a free consultation for your child.
- Be aware that waiting times for the assessment appointment can vary significantly.
